When you use The Bookie, we automatically collect the following through normal bot operation:

• •Discord User ID — A unique numeric identifier assigned by Discord. We do not collect your email address, password, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information directly.
• •Discord Server (Guild) ID — Used to associate bets and leaderboard data with the correct server.
• •Bet & Activity Data — Records of virtual bets placed, including the game, selection, amount wagered, outcome, and timestamps.
• •Command Usage — Basic logs of which commands are used, to support troubleshooting and bot improvements.

We do not collect message content outside of direct bot commands, and we do not read general chat messages.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• •Track and settle virtual bets placed through the bot.
• •Maintain per-server leaderboards and user standings.
• •Send DM notifications regarding bet outcomes.
• •Generate weekly recap and roast messages within your server.
• •Improve and debug the bot's performance and reliability.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

The Bookie operates through the Discord platform, which has its own Privacy Policy. We also use third-party sports data APIs to retrieve real-time odds and game results. These providers may collect usage data as part of API requests. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain user and server data for as long as The Bookie remains active in your server, or as needed to provide the service. If the bot is removed from a server, we may retain historical data for a reasonable period before it is purged, unless a deletion request is made.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to request access to or deletion of the data we hold about you. To submit a request, contact us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and process your request in accordance with applicable law.

Server administrators can remove The Bookie from their server at any time through Discord's server settings, which will stop all future data collection for that server.

7. Children's Privacy

The Bookie is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has used the bot, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of The Bookie after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
